On a recent stroll up the garden path the UPS man brought me a cheerful bag of fun from our friends at Darn Good Yarn. Today’s the day, out of the shipping bag onto the winder and here we go – silky vibes a flowing off my needles to make a new poncho for the Summer. Yep, you heard me, a poncho to wear in the Summer. Nothing fancy, just a nice colorful layer to toss on whilst paddle boarding or for a dockside dining adventure where ever the tides make take me. Based on how many people have made my Garden Trellis Shawl, I’m pretty sure you like the idea of a quick simple knit with a little twist of fun so stay tuned and see where this one goes. I’ve taken the concept of the dropped stitches and this time used them on a rectangle. As you can see, I’m still on the first cup of coffee here so it will be a few more days before I have anything substantial to share. For now, have a look at the Garden Trellis and see how you may reimagine it in a different yarn or shape.
