Yes, you really can knit a dress and wear it. In fact, you can wear this one two different ways; as a dress with a flattering cowl neck OR wear it as a topper over a casual outfit for a little extra layer of knitted comfort and a big cowl which can do double duty on cold days as a hood.  Your project, your choice how you prefer to wear it.  The superwash wool, that magical creation from Bergere de France, Magic + is the perfect yarn because it doesn’t pill like acrylic and is washable, forget to lay it out to dry, that’s ok, a trip through the drier won’t kill it either.

Materials:  Bergere de France Magic+ (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic; 87 yards [80 meters]/50 grams): Bleu Gris, 13 (16, 18, 20, 23) skeins

Needle :       US size 8 (5 mm): 36” circular

Notions:      Tapestry needle, eight plastic split stitch markers; US size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook; two bath towels for blocking

Gauge:        16 sts and 20 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st

Size:            Finished Bust Size 34 (38, 42, 46, 52)”
