Fear not the idea of using color in your knit and crochet designs. For a first try at color, let someone else pick it for you. For instance, buy a self-striping sock yarn to make a hat, see how the colors align, love it? Try a scarf or poncho. That’s how my Funky Fall Poncho and Cross the Sound Caps moved from swatch to finished objects, the yarn just flowed off the sock yarn cakes and as it did the striping took both swatches, and later projects, to a new level.
