Description
The inspiration for these mitts came from the rhythmic, relaxing sound of azure waves crashing along the Gulf Shore at my favorite Key West resort. I love heading out for an early morning run while the rest of the island is still sleeping off the night before. But even in paradise, January mornings can be surprisingly chilly when you’re wearing just shorts.
Instead of waiting out the cold, I picked up some gorgeous cotton yarn in Miami and stitched these lovelies right on the road down to “the end of the world.” They are the perfect companion for a brisk jog along the beach in the pre-dawn hours, or a quiet morning game of chess with a fellow runner.
