Description
This is a quick project to add to your Summer wardrobe using a single kit of Baby from Feza or four colors of your own choosing that you may collect over the course of your Summer vacation, perhaps while touring crochet stores by boat around the Northeast?
The shawl is large enough to wear as a cover-up after a swim for a quick trip to the tiki bar or grocery store on the weekend. Between sun drenched Saturdays and Sundays pair it with a summer shift dress and you’ll be climate ready as you go from air conditioned spaces to the great outdoors.
Feza 4 Shade is a gradient which does not include a pure white so if you prefer not to have a bright white, this is the one to use.
Urth Merino is fingering weight, to use this yarn, step down a hook size.
Pattern Error – Row 5 – Dc in first st, dc in each st and ch1 sp across to dc before ch 2 sp….
There are ch 1 not ch2 spaces until the middle of the row. Thank you to my faithful but not on Ravelry crochet fans in the LIKCG for finding it.
I was asked to find a more cost effective alternative, so here is one – Darn Good Yarn Cotton Viscose, it works up just as nicely, pick a series of four colors to create your own masterpiece. Lion Brand TruBoo is an excellent alternative and available in a wide range of colors at your local big box store or on the Lion Brand web site. For a single colorway alternative, try a DK or worsted weight Noro yarn like I did in the photo gallery…..
