Finally, a trade show for the fiber industry that is definitely going to happen! Backed by the exceptionally well coordinated team at Koelnmesse under the direction of their development leader in the US, fellow Long Islander, Darrin Stern, there will be a new trade event on the calendar for June 2022 in Chicago. It has been a long time since a well run trade show was done in the Americas, for years one had to travel to Germany to meet the best and brightest in the industry. In 2021 I had the pleasure of attending the virtual show. The experience was second to none, every keynote speaker was recorded and captioned in English within 24 hours and most booths had multi-lingual reps so despite the language barrier I was able to truly engage with suppliers, meet new reps and make important connections via the show portal.
